Can I stay for just one night?

In order to maximise our hideaways we have a minimum two night stay policy. Occasionally cancellations will mean we make a hideaway available for a single night stay at short notice.

What is the earliest we can check in?

3pm is the earliest guests are able to check in.

What is the latest we can check out?

11am is the latest guests are able to check out. After this you are welcome to leave your car on-site while going for a short walk, etc, though we ask that guests have left the site by 1:30pm.

On those occasions where a guest is staying for a single night we allow an 11:30am check out.

How do we check in?

We operate self check in, so once you arrive on the farm you should follow the signs to your hideaway and the parking area. Once you have parked you will find the keys in the front door of your hideaway.

How do we check out?

We have self check out, so all you need to do is leave the keys in the front door when you leave.

What do you provide in each space?

In all hideaways we provide soap, shampoo & conditioner, toilet paper, towels, bed linen, blanket, pillows, washing up liquid, cooking oil, tea, coffee and kitchen utensils. The Nook, The Coop and The Trap also have BBQ utensils and an outdoor grill – we also provide firewood for a small extra cost.

How much is the wood for the fires?

Those hideaways that have firepits or wood burners each have their own wood store. You are welcome to take wood from your hideaway’s store or to bring firewood with you. To cover our costs, where you use wood from your hideaway’s store, we charge a flat fee of £10 per night if you are staying in The Nook or The Coop, and £5 per night if you are staying in The Trap – we supply firelighters at no extra charge. Payment should be made prior to your departure – details will be included in your Welcome email.

Is it okay to walk around the farm?

Yes, you are welcome to walk around the farm. Please be mindful that we have other customers staying in our hideaways who ask for privacy, so please don’t approach other cabins.

Can we bring our dog with us?

The Nook is the only hideaway where we allow dogs, as it’s the only space with fenced off land around it.

Can we bring children with us?

At present we allow bookings for adults only. We do allow babes in arms, though we ask that you let us know before you arrive.

How long does it take to heat the hot tub?

At The Nook and The Coop we have outdoor pinewood hot tubs, with the water heated by a wood burner. It takes between 1.5 and 2 hours to heat the hot tub. The fire must be burning vigorously throughout that time to get the water to bath temperature.

You must remember to stir the water with the oar supplied to mix the cold and hot water. If the water gets too hot please use the hose pipe to add more cold water.

Do you provide food?

We are not currently able to provide food. However you will find some cooking staples, cooking facilities and a small fridge in your hideaway. The Nook, The Coop and The Trap also have BBQ utensils, an outdoor grill, and wood provided.

For buying-in, take-aways or eating out there is a country pub within walking distance plus plenty of options for food shops, take-aways, pubs and restaurants within a short drive. Further information about local food options will be sent in your welcome email.
